If you’re using Brave, you may be encountering an error that says “cross-site device recognition blocked”. To by-pass this error, please disable your shields.
If you are facing difficulties, you can also complete the video selfie using the Civic App.
Using the Civic App
- Download the Civic App from the Google Play store or App Store.
- Complete basic verification using your mobile number and email address
- If you are on the screen that says ‘Get ready for a video selfie', navigate to the bottom of the screen click on the blue 'Click here' link. A QR code will pop-up. Scan the QR code using your Civic app. Follow the instructions on screen to complete verification using the app.
- If you refreshed the page or closed your browser, you will have to begin the process from the beginning. When you get to the screen that says ‘Identity Verification Requirements’ click ‘Complete with the Civic App’. A QR code will pop-up. Scan the QR code using your Civic app. Follow the instructions on screen to complete verification using the app.
