After you set up your Civic Wallet account you have the option to set up your crypto account to store funds in Civic Wallet. To get started, tap the Accounts tab then tap Get Crypto accounts. If you are in a country that can use the crypto accounts, tap confirm.
You will then complete a liveness test before you scan your identity document.
Once the photos are taken, the Civic Wallet App will take some time to check for several factors:
- That the document is authentic and valid
- A facial comparison between the image captured during the liveness test and the photo from your identity document
Once this is complete, Civic Wallet will confirm that you are verified.
In some cases, automatic verification may fail. When this happens more than once, you will be sent through a manual verification process that may take up to 4 business days.
Please watch your app and email for updates.
Kindly note that if you have previously verified your documents in Civic Wallet, you only need to share your verified data in order to create crypto accounts. Simply tap Authorize to complete setting up your crypto accounts.
