Before you begin the process of getting your Civic Pass issued using your mobile device, please take note of the following:
If you use a VPN/ proxy/ firewall; or your IP appears to be from an unsupported region, you won't be able to get a Civic Pass issued. The unsupported regions are Bangladesh, Cuba, Iran, Syria, China, Russia, North Korea, Sudan, South Sudan, and Belarus. However, the website or dApp you're trying to access may have additional unsupported regions. Please check the Self-Declaration when going through the process of getting your Civic Pass to be sure you're not in an unsupported region.
iOS devices:
SOLANA
It takes 3 easy steps to get your Civic Pass issued using your iOS device. You will have to use a Phantom wallet to get a Civic Pass issued on Solana on your iOS mobile device so please ensure that you've installed the Phantom app.
- Create a new Solana wallet or recover your existing Phantom Solana wallet using your recovery phrase.
- If you don't have funds in your Phantom Solana wallet, please deposit funds into it either via bank transfer in the app or by sending SOL from another Solana address to your Phantom Solana wallet address.
- Use the web browser within the Phantom app to go to the website or dApp you wish to access with a Civic Pass or you can go directly to https://getpass.civic.com. Connect your wallet and follow the instructions on screen to complete the process of getting your Civic Pass.
EVM wallets (Arbitrum, Base, Ethereum, Polygon and more)
It takes 3 easy steps to get your Civic Pass issued using your iOS device. You will have to use a Metamask or Phantom wallet to get a Civic Pass issued on EVM on your iOS mobile device so please ensure that you've installed the Metamask or Phantom app.
- Create a new EVM wallet or recover your existing Metamask or Phantom EVM wallet using the wallet's recovery phrase.
- If you don't have funds in your EVM wallet, please deposit funds into it either via bank transfer in the app or by sending tokens from another wallet address to your Metamask or Phantom EVM wallet address. For example, if you wish to fund your Polygon wallet address, send POL tokens from a Polygon wallet address to the Polygon wallet address you want to use to get your Civic Pass (es) issued.
- Use the web browser within the Metamask or Phantom app to go to the website or dApp you wish to access with a Civic Pass or you can go directly to https://getpass.civic.com. Connect your wallet and follow the instructions on screen to complete the process of getting your Civic Pass.
Android devices:
SOLANA
To get a Civic Pass using your Android device, you will have to use Google Chrome web browser and a Solflare wallet.
- Using your Google Chrome mobile browser, go to the website or dApp you're trying to get a Civic Pass on/for. Alternatively, you can go directly to https://getpass.civic.com and initiate the process from there.
- Click 'Connect', select the Civic Pass type you want, choose the 'Solana' network and then choose to connect a Solflare wallet.
- You'll be redirected to Solflare in another window. Click on ‘Use Web Wallet’.

- If you don't have a Solflare wallet, click 'Create a new wallet'. Save the recovery phrase and continue.
- If you do have a Solflare wallet, then select ‘I already have a wallet’, enter your recovery phrase and click ‘Continue’.

- Create a password and ‘Enter Solana’ to open the wallet then keep the window open in the background for the rest of the process.
- If you don't have funds in your Solflare Solana wallet, please deposit funds into it either via bank transfer on the Solflare app or by sending SOL from another Solana address to your Solflare wallet address.
- Go back to the Civic Pass window and follow the steps on screen. You will need to navigate between the Civic Pass page and your open Solflare wallet to verify wallet control and pay the fees for getting your Civic Pass issued.
EVM wallets (Arbitrum, Base, Ethereum, Polygon and more)
To get a Civic Pass using your Android device, you will have to use Google Chrome web browser and a Metamask wallet.
- Open your Metamask app. Add the blockchain network(s) you'd like to use.

- If you don't have a Metamask EVM wallet, create a new wallet and save the recovery phrase somewhere safe.
- If you do have a Metamask EVM wallet, then you can add it to your Metamask mobile app using your recovery phrase.

- Once your Metamask EVM wallet is set up, go to Google Chrome mobile web browser then go to website or dApp that you want to access using the Civic Pass. Alternatively, you can go to https://getpass.civic.com to initiate the process of getting your Civic Pass.
- On the Civic Pass home screen, select the Civic Pass type you want, click the ‘Connect’ button and then choose the blockchain network you wish to use.
- Click on the blue WalletConnect icon and select Metamask. You will then be redirected to your wallet in Metamask app where you need to 'Sign' to connect your wallet.
- Go back to Chrome and follow the steps on screen to get your Civic Pass issued.
