If you’re seeing the error in the screenshot above, it means either:
All Civic Pass types:
1. You’re making use of a VPN, firewall or proxy, OR
2. Your IP seems to be located in an unsupported region. Civic currently doesn't offer support for Bangladesh, Cuba, Iran, Syria, China, Russia, North Korea, Sudan, South Sudan, and Belarus. The dApp or website you may be using may have additional restricted regions. You can check the Self-Declaration towards the beginning of the process for getting your Civic Pass to see if your region is supported or not.
Civic CAPTCHA Pass Only:
If you're experiencing issues getting your Civic CAPTCHA Pass and you're not making use of a VPN, firewall or proxy; and you're not in an unsupported region:
It is likely due to your CAPTCHA score being low from doing several retries in a short space of time. Please wait a few hours and try again.
If you’re not using a VPN, firewall or proxy; and you’re not currently connecting in an unsupported region; and/or you've waited a few hours and tried getting your Civic CAPTCHA Pass to no avail, then try the steps below:
1. Clear the cookies on your web browser and try again
2. Check that your web browser is up to date
3. Check that your browser extensions are installed correctly
4. Try using a different web browser
5. Try a different Wi-Fi or mobile data network
6. Try a different device
If you still continue to experience issues after trying all 6 steps above, please create a support ticket and provide us with your wallet address(es) so we can look into this for you.
